Find out about the initiatives supported by the Bank in 2013 focusing on childhood and education

Unicef Fonds de mécénat ING Belgique
The Group has been collaborating with UNICEF since 2007 in order to improve access to education for children living in developing countries. Our aim is to give one million children access to quality education by January 2015. From a Belgian perspective, through our ING Philanthropic Fund in Belgium we support around 60 Belgian projects relating to education, health and childhood.
In Belgium, several projects were completed in the course of 2013. For example: the ING Run for UNICEF, the ING Day and your support for the emergency initiatives in Syria and the Philippines. Not to mention the initiatives taken by many committed employees! Among the 64 projects sponsored in 2013, the ING Philanthropic Fund in Belgium enabled the Mentor Jeunes association to make a film about the social and school life of unaccompanied refugee minors in Belgium. It has also provided financial support to the Zorghuis Oostende association, which takes care of vulnerable people who are in need of support following an illness.
