The Marnix building

Also worth of a mention is the architecture of the Marnix building, which was designed in the 1960s by Godron Bunschaft, from the American practice Skidmore Owings et Merril (who were more recently also responsible for the extension in 1992, using the original period designs). Baron Lambert stated in an interview for Times Magazine: "I like to think that if Laurent de Medici had seen the building, he might have said: 'That's just how I would have designed if I was around today".
